Pipe Pressure Loss Calculator runs in window and requires Windows 2000 or XP (doesn't work in Windows98 and older versions).
Memory and CPU utilization is not significant so there should be no limitation in this regard.
You can run the program by executing pipe.exe, the first page you see is some information about the program.
Click on "Start" to continue, now you see the parameters input page.

First enter length value and choose the appropriate unit from the drop-down list in front, Units available are millimeters, centimeters, meters, inches and feet.
Now enter diameter value and choose the appropriate unit.
There are two method for entering pipe type either select one of the predefined pipe types from the drop-down list or click on th radio button in front of "Abs. Roughness", directly enter the value for absolute roughness and choose the appropriate unit.

Now enter flow and choose the appropriate unit, the program will automatically calculate average fluid velocity with regards to given diameter. Availabe flow units are cubic meters per second, cubic meters per minute, litres per second, litres per minute, cubic feet per second and cubic feet per minute.
Alternatively you can directly enter average velocity by clicking on the radio button in front of "Avg. Velocity", entering the value and choosing the appropriate unit, available velocity units are meters per second, meters per minute, centimeters per second, centimeters per minute, feet per second and feet per minute.
There are to method for entering fluid viscosity, if the fluid is water you can enter the temperature and the program will choose the appropriate viscosity using it's internal table. Alternatively you can direcvtly enter viscosity and choose the appropriate unit, available viscosity units are poise, centipoise and pounds per foot second.
At last choose the unit you want results to be displayed in. units you can choose from are meters of H2O, millimeters of Hg, Pascals, atm and psi.
Now click on "Compute" You will see a page showing the results of perliminary calculations.
In This page you see length, diameter, absolute roughness, average velocity and viscosity converted to metric system as well as calculated Reinolds number and flow type.
Now click on "Results list", you see the results list page.
In this page you see a list of pressure losses calculated using each methods, failed methods and results that their distance from the average is greater than standard deviation show in gray.
Now click on "Average". You see the averaging page.
In this page you see the average of pressure losses computed with different methods, standard deviation and statistical average (average after removing results that their distance from the average are more than standard deviation).
